Airports
San Francisco is conveniently served by three major airports:
San Francisco International Airport (SFO): Located just 13 miles south of downtown, SFO is the closest and most convenient option. It offers numerous domestic and international flights.
Oakland International Airport (OAK): About 20 miles east of San Francisco, OAK is another good option, especially for those flying domestically or looking for budget-friendly flights.
San Jose International Airport (SJC): Located approximately 45 miles south of San Francisco, SJC is a great alternative for those who might find better flight options there.
TRAVEL
Public Transit
San Francisco boasts an excellent public transportation system, making it easy to get around without a car.
BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit): This train system connects SFO, OAK, and downtown San Francisco, as well as many other Bay Area destinations. It's a quick and efficient way to travel from the airport to the city.
Muni: San Francisco's bus and light rail system covers almost every corner of the city. Muni is perfect for getting around once you're in town.
Caltrain: Ideal for those flying into SJC, Caltrain offers a scenic ride up the peninsula to San Francisco.
Car Rentals & Rideshares
For those who prefer the flexibility of having their own transportation:
Car Rentals: All three airports offer a variety of car rental services. Booking in advance is recommended.
Rideshares: Uber and Lyft are widely available throughout San Francisco and can be a convenient option for door-to-door service.
